Vehicle Seized Following Anti-Social Driving Incident

Dear Residents

Last night, officers stopped the driver of a vehicle under Section 59 powers after witnessing vehicles performing doughnuts in the Belvoir Centre shopping car park.

A subsequent inspection of the vehicle revealed a number of serious defects, including worn brake discs, frontal collision damage, and undeclared modifications that may invalidate the driver's insurance policy.

Anti-social driving puts road users and members of the public at unnecessary risk. We will continue to take action against those who use vehicles irresponsibly and ensure vehicles on our roads are safe and legally compliant.
